In 2005 I showed a series of photographs taken in West Baltimore. The city places ply wood over the doors of condemned houses. To bring life to this depressed area the residents paint doors and windows on the wood creating a wonderfully unique facade. The paintings make these forgotten houses into a beautiful urban illusion.
